Artist
Born in Valleyfield (Quebec) in 1960, Diane Brouillette plays with textures the way a virtuoso strikes chords. Her tones vibrate like well pitched notes. Brushed with passion, her work may evoke the past or the present, the real or the unreal.
“My subjects are like a memory” says the artist who draws her inspiration from light caressing fruits, flowers and lace, wine or antiques, which all come alive in her compositions.
Diane Brouillette will be an artist of note of the nineties in Canadian painting, and she is at the dawn of international recognition.
