Artist
Born in Roberval in 1954, Gil Robitail starts its studies in 1972 in technical drawing and architecture in Alma. Cofounder of the comic strips review "Tomahac" in 1973, he also becomes a member of the Composer-Songwriters Association of the Canada. Since then, he shares its time between its two passions the music and painting. Self-taught artist, his studies and graphics art work give a very dynamic and proactive approach. His work is definitely inspired by the "paysage contemporain’’ (contempory landscape trend, so well exploited by the « Institut des arts figuratifs ».
His traditional subject first spreads out in soft layers of colors preparing the modern form to finally prevail. The public’s response from the beginning of his young career makes him a rising artist. Already his style his personal and his signature recognized. We find his paintings in many private collections in Canada and the U.S.
